“Why do we need to read the Old Testament?” I’ve heard this question more than once. As Christians, why can’t we content ourselves to read only the parts that mention Jesus by name? Among the many good reasons is this simple one: we study the Old Testament because that is what Jesus did with his disciples in the forty days between his resurrection and ascension. This year during the Easter season we will follow Jesus into the Old Testament, where he will reveal insights that will bring our hearts and minds alive!
