Nominations are open for people to serve on a Pastor Nominating Committee for the purpose of calling an Installed Pastor for a Designated Term. The five people chosen will include one elder, one deacon, and three additional members who are each currently serving on a church ministry team or committee. No members of the current Congregational Nominating Committee will be eligible to serve on the PNC.
The Pastor Nominating Committee will work together to finalize a job description for the Installed Pastor for a Designated Term, and will interview appropriate candidate(s) for the position. Because of the nature of this call, an open nationwide search is not required, and the Associate Pastor is eligible to apply for the position.
The congregation votes on the members of the pastor nominating committee to serve as their representatives in the process of calling an Installed Pastor for a Designated Term. Names will be chosen from those nominated by the Congregational Nominating Committee, and presented for the congregation’s approval on Sunday, February 28.
Help us identify those God has gifted—and might be calling—to serve on this Pastor Nominating Committee.
People you suggest must be church members, currently serving on a ministry team in the church. You may suggest yourself if you feel led to serve. All nominees will be submitted for your consideration at the congregational meeting on Sunday, February 28.
Please submit all nominations by Friday, February 26.
