Our church's immediate response to needs in the community is being focused on supporting the Mill Creek Community Food Bank. Members who live outside the greater Mill Creek area are encouraged to support your local food bank. With all the needs out there, our current mission is to make sure that no one in our community goes hungry.
Here are three ways that you can help out:
• drop off donations
• Arrange for a pick up
There is a food shortage right now. Most needed items include the following: peanut butter, chili/baked beans, canned meats, homestyle canned soup, baking mix, sugar, flour, oil, salad dressing, cereal, pancake mix, syrup, cup-of-noodles, ramen, boxed pasta/rice, canned pineapple, and fruit juices. Thank you to everyone who have been donating to the drive-by bin at church - the first two days this week, the bin was full. But we realize many are wisely not going out. This will continue to be available Sundays from 8am-12pm and Mon.-Wed. from 8am-2pm. Volunteers are still needed at the food bank. Shifts will be in small groups to try to honor State guidelines.
