We will be having a book study on the book Be the Bridge: Pursuing God’s Heart for Racial Reconciliation by Latasha Morrison. This is a wonderful book that will challenge us and help us build on the things that were learned in the Formed for Justice class.
At the same time, it is a very accessible book – this is open to all so please invite your friends.
Be the Bridge presents a compelling vision of what it means for every follower of Jesus to become a bridge builder – committed to pursuing justice and racial unity in light of the gospel. We are excited about going through this together.
This is not a weekly class. Meg McClure will facilitate an introduction to the
book on Thurs., Jan. 14 and then a discussion of the book on Thurs., Feb. 11.
Even if you cannot, make one of those dates, we encourage you to get the book
and read it anyway. We will soon have a way to sign up for this so we can be in
communication with participants during this 4-week study.
More information will be coming out about this book study, but we wanted to get it to you now so that you will have time to get the book. There are multiple copies available in our Snohomish library system. You can also purchase it on Amazon or other online book publishers.
