NCPC's Elders gathered for their regular monthly meeting, and opened with a
time of reflective prayer led by Rev. Denise Easter and Rev. Dianne Kunce.
While maintaining the confidentiality of the calls, we shared gratitude
for conversations our Elders have had over the last few weeks and the
congregation's willingness to share from their heart. We also heard some
reports about administrative details and Presbytery news.
Our finance team reported a positive net income through September, celebrating both the continued faithful giving of the congregation and the cautious adjustments made early during the pandemic. We are on track to finish 2020 with a positive income, having met Mission giving goals and necessary expenditures. Plans are moving ahead for the Pledge Parade on Nov.15, and budget planning for 2021.
We spent time hearing about the staff transition with Chris Chang moving into a new call and Sean Lian coming to lead our youth for an interim period. We took time to pray for our staff and the youth and families of the church. We talked about this transition season and plans for the coming year as we consider God's leading in our mission and ministry. We ended our meeting in prayer for each other and the congregation.
