Volunteers are needed to help at Summer Bible Camp! SBC is July 10-14 from 9 AM to noon at North Creek Presbyterian Church. Scroll down this page to find full descriptions for volunteer roles.
Volunteers must be entering 6th grade or older and if a volunteer is under 18 they must fill out a Junior Volunteer Application. Download it below and email it to email@example.com or turn it in to the office.
All volunteers must also complete a background check with NCPC. download the background check below. Fill it out and turn it in to the church office or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Volunteers are needed for a variety of areas at SBC. Check out the volunteer descriptions below and choose which area you would like to serve.
Crew Leaders serve as group leaders for the kids. You don't have to prepare any materials before SBC. Crew leaders will guide campers through activities, help facilitate discussion, and lead a group of children through SBC each day. Crew leaders should enjoy kids and be willing to lead and participate in activities such as games, crafts, singing, and more!
Registration Volunteers: Registration volunteers will help set up check in stations before kids arrive each day. Then they will check children in make sure campers and parents get the right nametag. They will also help walk ins register for SBC, accept money, etc.
Decoration Volunteers: Help decorate the church the week before with props wall hangings etc. Help clean the church up the week after SBC is over.
Prep Volunteers: Help prep craft activities, gather supplies and props and get ready for SBC before the week starts.
Station leaders serve as the people who prepare and lead the various stations that campers will particpate in at SBC. There are a variety of stations that include:
Sound Wave Sing & Play: Lead Music and motions at the beginning and end of every day at SBC
Bible Discovery: Review the Bible Teaching Material and serve as the Bible Discovery teacher and leader at SBC. You will have 15-20 minutes to teach a Bible lesson and lead kids in activities that help the story come alive. Teaching Materials and lesson ideas are provided.
Snack Factory: Help gather snack materials and prepare the snack area. Lead a group of kids each day to help prepare and set up the snack. Serve the snack and clean up after snack time is over.
Game Makers: Prepare supplies and games for each day of SBC. Lead kids in games during SBC.
KidVid Cinema: Run the video station for VBS and lead kids in discussion and activities related to the videos they watch each day.
Imagination Station: Lead kids in creating not only crafts but fun science experiments. Help kids test and play with their experiments after they have finished creating them.
Preschool:Tinker Tots Leaders: Preschool leaders will work with the Preschool age campers and lead them in games, a Bible lesson, crafts, and more. If you enjoy working with young children and preschoolers than this is your area to serve.
